Sex and the City :)

"When it comes to life and love, why do we believe our worst reviews?" - Carrie Bradshaw!

I love SATC and the thought-provoking stuff Miss. Bradshaw comes up with. And to honor the movie release happening this weekend, I thought I should write my thoughts on one of her many famous quotes.

Why is it that no matter how many people tell us we are good .. we are beautiful .. we are who they want to be with, when the one person we like or are interested in, doesn't say it, we go through the self-doubting process. We start thinking that there must be something I am doing wrong .. some flaw in me. Have we really started craving pity from others? It's kinda disgusting if thats the case. How do we manage to do this to ourselves? I believe the ones who succeed are the ones who can say - "His Loss" and move on! Of course easier said than done ... but taking those first few steps is definitely winning half the battle.

I disagree. Walking away from a battle is not whats called winning. It is easy(i.e saying his loss), doesn't take much and is not the stories of passion that are written about. And without passion there isn't life worth living. On the other hand winning a battle requires getting our inner most self out there, be vulnerable beyond anything we are comfortable with. It will hurt, sometimes a lot. Winning it will taste nectar sweet. Loosing it treacherous. But in the end thats what life is about anyway. Better to live and die then not live at all.
